Mendy attended Butler County Community College and Wichita State University. She received an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2000. She is a member Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Honor Society and the Golden Key National Honor Society. She is certified in Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Administration. She has been working at Scheer Dentistry since September of 2001.

Selena, our dental assistant, started working at Scheer Dentistry in 2015. Prior to that, she assisted the graduate students and faculty at the WSU Advanced General Dentistry Clinic, acquiring experience in a vast array of techniques and procedures.

Dr. Scheer is a third-generation dentist, following in his grandfather’s and father’s footsteps. Dr. Scheer graduated from the prestigious Washington University School of Dental Medicine (St. Louis) in 1982. Prior to dental school, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Wichita State University in 1978. He is a native of Wichita, graduating from Wichita Collegiate High School at the age of 16.

Star is the Marketing Coordinator at Scheer Dentistry and is also Dr. Scheer's niece! She enjoys sewing, designing, traveling to anywhere sunny and warm (bonus if there's a beach!), and attending concerts.

Laurie began her employment with her father, Dr. Harold M. Scheer, and brother, Dr. Brick R. Scheer, in 1985 at our downtown location. Her occupation at Scheer Dentistry has been that of both dental assistant and receptionist.

Vanessa was raised in Augusta, KS. She attended Wichita Area Vo-tech School and became a certified dental assistant. She worked for four years in a dental research program administered through the Wichita Public School system. Vanessa then attended Wichita State University and graduated in May of 1983 with an Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. She is certified in Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Administration. Vanessa has been working at Scheer Dentistry since October 1998.
