DR. BRICK SCHEER

Dr. Brick Scheer is a third generation dentist, following in his grandfather and father's footsteps. Dr. Scheer graduated from Washington University School of Dental Medicine, located in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1982. Prior to dental school he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Wichita State University, 1978. He is a native of Wichita, graduating from Wichita Collegiate High School at the age of 16.

Since graduation Dr. Scheer has been a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Kansas Dental Association, and Wichita District Dental Society. He has held many leadership positions within these organizations including president of the WDDS, chairman of the Workforce Issues committee of the KDA, delegate to the House of the KDA, and most recently a lobbying team member for the ADA in Washington DC. In 2008 he was honored by being invited to become a fellow in the prestigious international College Of Dentists.

Dr. Scheer is also active in his community having started and served two terms as president of the local Kiwanis club. He is an usher and occasional choir member of First Evangelical Free Church, as well as past president of HopeNet, a local agency helping individuals and families restore dignity and order to their lives.

Dr. Scheer is married to Shelley and they have two children. Their son Brandon recently graduated with honors from Wichita State University and will start school in the summer of 2009. Their daughter Casey is one of Dr. Scheer's dental assistants. Dr. Scheer enjoys working out (he has a gym in the basement of the office), water-skiing, hunting, basketball, softball, Bible studies, music, and cooking.
